Here, it’s almost impossible to stroll down Harding Avenue without stopping for a treat, or finishing dinner without something delightfully delicious. With that being said, plan for dessert and head to any of these spots listed below – you won’t regret it.

Dipped Paletas at Morelia Gourmet Paletas (K)

“Handcrafted gourmet ice pops made with natural ingredients” is the tagline for Morelia, and they deliver. More than just another popsicle, these paletas are full of fresh ingredients and vibrant flavors. The offerings include fruit or cream-based paletas (Spanish for popsicle), but the filled versions are the sweet spot. The banana paleta filled with Nutella is a nod to banana cream pie and is best served dipped in dark chocolate, topped with peanuts and covered in chocolate sprinkles to add a captivating crunch.

Mix-match flavors in a pack of six macarons to curate a selection made just for your palate for a true French experience in Florida. Since macarons are dainty yet decadent, make sure to indulge some of the brighter options like black currant, raspberry, pistachio and coconut. Surfside’s local scoop shop is famous for its small-batch ice cream and one-of-a-kind selections. Owned by a lifelong Surfside local, this neighborhood spot is often filled with kids and adults alike enjoying signature flavors (there are 24 of them) and homemade toppings. Fan favorites include Pecan Pie, Dark Chocolate, Breakfast Cereal and Blueberry Crumble. For a special treat, ask for a peek of their Peekaboo Ice Cream, a new line of ice cream with hidden veggies in the mix!

Lemon Tart at Thomas Keller Restaurant at The Surf Club

A classic lemon tart can be described as – simple, sweet, savory. One of chef Thomas Keller’s favorites, his version is a crisp vanilla sucre crust, filled with fresh lemon curd, topped with toasted meringue and surrounded by raspberry sabayon, aka a refreshing creamy custard. It’s so satisfying that at three spoonfuls, it’s just the right amount.

Desserts at Le Sirenuse

Saving room for some Italian treats? At Le Sirenuse, Chef Antonio Mermolia doesn’t serve up one delectable dessert, he serves up a whole menu. Based on some of his famed family recipes, satisfy your sweet tooth in traditional favorites like tiramisu, semifreddo cake and a chocolate tart with a hint of orange. Our favorite is the Giardino Del Bronte, a pistachio cake with Bronte Gelato that will transport you to the Italian coast.
