Le Sirenuse Hosts Unique Mixology Series

By: Surfside Apr 17, 2018

Viaggio: The Cocktail Series

Le Sirenuse Champagne Bar invites you on a sensory journey to Positano through a monthly cocktail event, Viaggio: The Cocktail Series, that will transport you to the Mediterranean.

“Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone,” - John Steinbeck from Harper’s Bazaar, May 1953.

Head resident bartender Valentino Longo will craft one-of-a-kind cocktails using six elements that best represent Positano – sun, lemons, flowers, soil, sea and coffee – to provide guests with a unique mixology experience. Alongside Valentino, every month a bartender from around the world will be invited to contribute to the series using flavors and elements of their heritage in their own handcrafted cocktail.

To kick off the series, award-winning Simone Caporale will join Longo on Monday, April 23rd. The Italian-born mixologist is originally from Como, Italy, where he started his career. He is a known pioneer of mixology culture; named the best international bartender of the year in 2014. While working at Artesian at The Langham Hotel in London, the bar was named best bar in the world – a title it received for four consecutive years.

Simone’s signature style is to make cocktails that are a multi-sensory experience, using innovative techniques to constantly push the boundaries of what a drink can and should be. This is surely a cocktail event not to be missed!
