Third Thursdays Block Party Celebrates Wellness

By: Surfside Mar 12, 2019

Be Well & Feel Good at Third Thursdays

It’s almost time again for the next edition of Surfside’s Third Thursdays! Join Surfside on March 21 for a night themed around wellness, featuring yoga classes for all levels as well as reflexology and restorative classes with instruction and an intro to essential oils.

BYOM: Bring Your Own Mat

Bring your own mat to “Be Well – Yoga & Wellness” and participate in an all-level yoga class taught by
yoga instructor Victoria Brunacci of Synergy Studios. Each class will include a Vinyasa yoga session, power yoga session and restorative yoga session with a guided meditation.

An experienced yogi, Victoria is the Director of Synergy Studios in Miami Beach, the area’s first yoga studio. Her teaching style enjoys influences from Universal yoga, Jivamukti Yoga, Dharma Mittra and the Ashtanga Vinyasa system, with a focus and intention of bringing awareness and raising consciousness on the planet, one soul at the time. She also has a passion for teaching Kids Yoga!

Meet Surfy, Surfside’s Sea Turtle

At the event, Miami creative agency (and Surfside friend) Jacober Creative will also be introducing Surfside’s newest coloring book “The Adventures of Surfy the Surfside Sea Turtle” with a life-size interactive mural, perfect for adults and kids!

Third Thursdays Events Are a Community Highlight

The last Third Thursday block party themed around food and music took place on February 21 and featured music by Brothers of Others and chef demonstrations by some of Miami’s most talents chefs, including Michael Bianchi of 5 Senses Events and Catering, Matteo Cabo, Chef de Partie at Casa Tua Hotel & Restaurant, and Chef Tim Andriola from Timo Restaurant. Local restaurant partners included Backyard BBQ and Brew and ChaiWok. On the sweet side, there were pastries from Lilly’s Baking Company and gourmet paletas from Surfside favorite Morelia Gourmet Paletas.

The fun-for-all-ages event focused on the good eats and sweet sounds from the mainstage while also remembering the little ones. The family-friendly party featured many activities for the kids, including an interactive art mural and an herb potting station.

If you really want to plan ahead, April is set to be an upbeat evening “Energize with Zumba”, where guests will get to participate in high-energy Zumba classes with a certified instructor, listen to live musical performances and cool down to tunes by a local DJ.
